About Earthworks

Earthworks represents everything that Aly channels through her hands - from energy healing and bodywork to hand-blending aromatherapy oils, throwing ceramics on the wheel, and tending her vegetable garden.

As an art history major at Skidmore College, Aly first discovered the work of Earthworks artists Andy Goldsworthy, Robert Smithson, and Christo who introduced environmental advocacy to the modern art world. From there, she dove into studying of prehistoric land art, stone monuments such as Stonehendge and Newgrange, and connecting them to early settler’s stone walls of her home in historic New England.

From this in-depth study of the fusion of art and nature, Aly uncovered a passion and reverence for the healing gifts of mother earth and the ancient ways that people have interfaced with these energies for millennia. Nature serves as an essential bridge for human connection and spiritual development. Aly believes that co-creating with the earth enhances our creativity and vibrancy for a happy and healthy life.
